Rare and Historic Piece of Taiwanese Baseball History

This hand-colored glass autochrome  from the early 20th century is one of the earliest known baseball images from China.
Written on one side of the slide is "Baseball in China."  The other side reads: "Canadian Presbyterian Mission."
The Canadian Presbyterian Church had two missions in China one in Tamsui, Taiwan and one in North Honan in mainland China.
Because the North Honan mission was in a remote location, this picture was most likely taken at the mission in Taiwan.

Original 19th or early 20th century hand-colored glass slide
$200
8 by 10 photograph made directly from the colorized glass slide

Unidentified Pre-Word War II Tour of Japan

This set of 7 glass autochromes show the same young men in street clothes during a tour of Japan.  From their age, this was probably a college team.
21 American college teams toured Japan between 1908 and 1935.  The exact team has not yet been identified.

As the photos below show that autochromes can be developed into beautiful pictures.

8 x 10 color pictures are $20 each
The set of 6 autochromes are $250
